Prevention starts with teaching our youth lessons on how to prevent fires and general fire safety.
We provide Fall School presentations for the community each year. Please click on the registration link to sign up.

Want to see what it’s like INSIDE the fire station?
We provide semi-annual open houses to the public. See the firetrucks, firefighter quarters, meet staff and maybe even the Fire Chief! Get a up close view of what life is like for the Kootenai County Fire & Rescue team. These occur in May and October each year, follow our Facebook page for more details!

Business Education
Fire Safety & Hands-Only CPR
What is hands only CPR? It is CPR without mouth-to-mouth breaths.
It is recommenced for use by people who see a teen or adult suddenly collapse in an out-of-hospital setting (such as at home, at work, or in a park).

Fire Safety for Home and Business
Portable fire extinguisher training, fire safety in the workplace and emergency evacuation planning is provided upon request.
