The Kootenai County Fire District has five (5) fire stations throughout our response area and staff four (4) fire stations seven days a week, 24 hours each day.
Local 2856 of the International Association of Fire Fighters, represent Career Fire Fighters and Officers of Kootenai County Fire & Rescue.
Our personnel are trained in fire suppression, rescue, emergency medical, hazardous materials and technical rescue specialties. The Emergency Services Division is responsible for the delivery of direct service.
